Ahmed Maiyaki was born in Zaria. He obtained a Bachelor degree in Mass Communication at the prestigiuos Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
He has attended several training programmes including School of Public Health, John Hopkins University, Baltimore and British Education and Cultural Centre for Strategic Health Communication and Project Management training programmes respectively.
Presently, he is the Principal Consultant and Chief Executive of Media Aid Limited, a Communication and Media firm based in Abuja and Kaduna. He has served as the Director General on Media and Publicity to the immediate past administration in Kaduna State between 2012 and 2015.
He also has worked as a Communication Consultant at PRRINN-MNCH, a DFID funded project in Jigawa, Kastina, Yobe and Zamfara states, He was a Behaviour Change Consultant Consultant (BCC), Media & Communication Strategist at PATHS, a DFID funded project in Kaduna between to 2008 and 2010 and as Team Leader in Ask Kaduna pilot project, a DFID funded project on priority health issues in Kaduna in 2011. Ahmed has worked as a Reporter at Radio France Internationale in Kaduna between 2007 & 2012.
Ahmed has also served as Deputy Team Leader and Communication & Advocacy Advisor at JAP, a UNICEF partnership project for polio eradication & Immunization in Nigeria. He is happily married with three amazing kids.
