Awe Olatunde Ebenezer, a.k.a Omoawe, is a young and dynamic Nigerian performance poet and spoken word artist.
His first spoken word poetry show, 'Poetically M.A.D', was staged in 2016. A graduate of the Department of English, University of Abuja, Nigeria, he is also an actor who has featured in several stage plays and TV commercials.
Omoawe has performed at various platforms including - The African Hair Summit, British Council, Dike Chukwumerije's Night of Spoken Word, Tamerri Festival, The Nigeria Youth parliament, Korea-Nigeria poetry fiesta, United State Ambassador to Nigeria Night with performance Poets, Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Poetry Night, Night of Rhythm and Poetry with Haywhy de Rhyhmer 2017 to mention but a few. He currently writes for Charley Boy's Pulpit.
Omoawe was first runner-up at the Abuja Literary Society Slam in 2014 and also first runner-up at the Eko Poetry Slam in 2015.
He is a member of the Abuja Literary Society, Association of Nigeria Author (Abuja chapter), former president of Alternative Art Friendly Initiative Network (AAFIN), and also a pioneer member of the UniAbuja Literary Society.
Omoawe Understands poetry as "a mother that pulls the entire universe by the ear and brings it to the path sanity". He loves Africa with passion - a true definition of a son of the soil.
